From 30 October, at Città della Scienza
Sea Horizon is the result of PIER, a European project aimed at explaining how research and innovation can be responsible towards societies by taking into account the needs of people and the environment, as well as by involving citizens in all stages of research. In particular, we have chosen to show in our the exhibition the applied research on marine sciences through spectacular exhibits and multimedia products.
The Science Museum – Museum System of Camerino University presented on November 25th the exhibition “Rosetta, la cometa e i segreti del cosmo” (Rosetta, the comet and cosmos secrets), which will remain open until the end of May 2015. Rosetta probe mission and scientific experience with its lander module Philae will be shown by interactive panels from ECSITE Space Group, ESA and our University. The exhibition “Poisons, instructions for use” will be on display from October 25th 2013 to May 31st 2014 at the Science Museum, Crivelli Hall, Polo Museale of Camerino University. According to Paracelsus, “the right dose differentiates a poison and a remedy”. So the exhibition presents a sensorial and scientific journey not only through poisons and venoms from plants and animals: are also proposed natural drugs which crossed our history, culture, science and tradition.
Did you know that continents drift? Are you curious about how you got to make the current Theory of Plate Tectonics? Come to the exhibition “WALKING WITH THE CONTINENTS. Our planet a hundred years from the theory of Alfred Wegener “, the Science Museum of Camerino University has set up to mark the centenary of the formulation of the theory and find out. The exhibition will be open from 13 October 2012 to 10 January 2013.
Futuro Remoto 2011: “Journey to the Centre of the Earth”. From November 11th at Città della Scienza! Futuro Remoto is the Annual multimedia event in Naples visited by more than 60.000 visitors every year.
World Science Day for Peace and Development is celebrated each year on 10 November. Città della Scienza as an “ONG in relation with Unesco”, takes part to this initiative in particular for what concern Naples activities. The event will involve all actors (universities, NGOs, CVOs, etc) who work in international cooperation contributing to peace and development processes. The Day will have a particular relevance in Naples since it has been considered as a crossroad of different cultures and civilizations and the city will be involved in great international events, which will be hosted in Naples, such as the World Urban Forum in 2012 and the Forum of Cultures in 2013.
The exhibition “The Black Dragon Song” (Singing Insects), produced by the National Museum of Natural Science in Taichung (Taiwan), will be on display from September 24th to November 30th, 2011 at the Science Museum, Crivelli Hall, Polo Museale of Camerino University. “The Black Dragon Song” uses recycled and recyclable materials and through multimedia such as animations and games, the exhibition will illustrate the ecological and cultural importance of all singing insects. The exhibition features hypertexts and multimedia files, which will explain how the insects’ sound production mechanisms
Come to know our didactic laboratories scheduled for the next year! The Science Museum and the Botanical gardens “Carmela Cortini” of the University of Camerino, in collaboration with the Pinacoteca e Museo civici and Museo Arcidiocesano “G. Boccanera”, open their doors to school teachers to show their didactic activities, temporary exhibitions and events scheduled for 2011/2012. Universcience welcomed on 6-8 October 2023 four Ecsite members at La Cité des sciences et de l’industrie in Paris for its “Fête de la science” (science festival). On the road to the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic games of Paris, the festival explored the links between sport and science (health, body, performance, neurosciences, social sciences) with a doorway to Europe and the world. The audience had the opportunity to discover the best science shows related to sport and science!

The Closing Ceremony of FIRST LEGO League Challenge and FIRST TECH Challenge Competitions
The BA Planetarium Science Center organized the closing ceremony of the FIRST LEGO League Challenge and the FIRST TECH Challenge competitions, in collaboration with TECHNOFuture - Egypt.
The ceremony witnessed the announcement of the winning teams who took home the major prizes in both competitions, including the PSC teams who were awarded the first and third places.
Egyptian Team Wins International Science and Engineering Awards
The Egyptian team, affiliated to the BA Planetarium Science Center (PSC), took part in the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), held this year in Texas, USA, from 13 to 19 May 2023.
The PSC is organizing a number of workshops that encourage school students’ groups to explore their creativity and help them find out how to use it in their life; all the while enriching their knowledge. In our workshops, students are able to interact with each other and with world around them in an exciting and entertaining manner; they are graduated to have a blast!

The Planetarium Science Center is organizing the Mid-year Program for students of ages 4-16 years old, during the period from 29 January to 9 February 2023.
