The winners of the 2017 Mariano Gago Ecsite Awards have just been announced at the Opening Ceremony of the Ecsite Annual Conference. TRACES – Espace des Sciences Pierre-Gilles De Gennes, Paris (France) won in the ‘Smart and Simple’ category. Dialogue Social Enterprise, Hamburg (Germany) won in the ‘Sustainable Success’ category. NOESIS - Thessaloniki Science Center & Technology Museum (Greece) got a Special mention for courageous leadership.

The exhibition, titled Oceans, the last wild territory, consists of an audiovisual tour of the seabed based on 480 hours of unpublished images selected from the documentary Oceans, the greatest testimony of the seabed ever filmed. A major attraction of the exhibition is a large curved screen that multiplies the sensation of immersion and so doubles enjoyment of this unique opportunity to directly experience the oceans of the five continents.
