International Directors Forum 2026

About

The 2026 International Directors Forum (INTEDIF) takes place on 17 & 18 August and will be hosted at the National Science Museum (NSM) in Bangkok, Thailand with lead sister network ASPAC. As Thailand’s national science museum, NSM invites both local and international visitors to explore science and technology through engaging, hands-on experiences.

Pre-registration for INTEDIF is now open.

Ticket prices

The price of an INTEDIF 2026 ticket is USD 300. It includes access to sessions, coffee breaks, lunches and designated networking activities.

Please note, it is possible to buy an INTEDIF and ASPAC Conference ticket together for a discounted price. This 'Combo Reigstration' will be available at the final registration stage and costs USD 594 for organisations that are not members of ASPAC.

Theme

The theme of this year's INTEDIF is 'Evolving our Organisations Amidst a Rapidly Changing World'. 

The following topics will be discussed: 

  1. The many facets of science museum/center ROI and how do we use them to come up with strategies for sustainability? 
  2. What are the nuances of the pain points of running science engagement organisations and the new ways to look at them to transform them into generative points? 
  3. Workshop to come up with different models of collaboration across networks
  4. Framing AI in Science Museums/Centres: 
  • How do we posit the 2 crisis (climate and biodiversity) vs AI?
  • How do we engage the public on AI use?
  • How do we adopt AI and still be human-centered?

  5. What does “decolonising museums” mean for the formerly colonised and the former coloniser and how do we come up with     working models to move forward? 

  6. What are the credentials of the new leadership amidst these rapid tech, social upheavals, including polarisation?

  7. Workshops to come up with new staffing patterns, new models of partnership, new funding sources etc
