Sophie has now a 20 years’ experience in Human Resources change management in scientific, cultural or technological area. Prior to that, in 1996 she was a member of the French National sailing team preparing for the Olympics.
After a Master degree in business and general management in Grenoble, Sophie has worked in different cultural institutions in France such as the Opéra National de Paris (French National Opera House), Radio France International, a public radio service and TV broadcasting and in the medical area with the French blood services EFS (Etablissement Français du Sang). She is familiar to large organizations (1.000 to 8.000 employees) and has been involved in different international cooperation projects.
In 2009, she joined Universcience just before the merger of Palais de la découverte and Cité des sciences et de l’industrie and held the position of HR manager and Director, dealing with all collective and individual aspects such as bargaining, redesigning the recruitment, career development for both civil servants and private employees and on HR strategy. Universcience has been a major turning point in her career.
Since the beginning of 2015, she has taken over responsibility for the international development, having completed an executive MBA at HEC School of Management in Paris. She is now Head of Institutional and International Relations in charge of national and international affairs. She contributes to enlarge the notoriety of Universcience at national, international and European level in order to structure and strengthen links between Universcience institutional environment with the network of cultural centres and institutes across Europe and abroad, including networking among European science centers and worldwide to facilitate development projects and partnerships in France and around the world.
Her motto: "I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach a nice destination with you."
