In an era where fake news is rampant, moderation is under fire, and science is more essential than ever, critical thinking takes center stage. As the key skill of evaluating, filtering, and applying information to form well-informed opinions, critical thinking is a collective responsibility—one we must tackle together.
To address this challenge, Universcience has been hosting the Springtime of Critical Thinking annually since 2022. For its fourth edition, running from March 20 to April 3, 2025, a program of 250 events will be organised by 120 venues, including 9 international partners.
Each year, the Springtime of Critical Thinking kicks off with the release of the Critical Thinking Barometer—a Universcience survey that explores the attitudes of the French public toward science, information sources, and critical thinking. The theme for 2025 is food.
