The ‘dayfinding app’ for Tate Gallery London has been awarded the iF Gold Design Award in the category Service Design. The app was developed by Fabrique and Q42, with creative consultancy on concept and user experience by NorthernLight.
The smart app is a personal guide that allows visitors to make their own content rich and personalized journey around the galleries of Tate Modern, Tate Britain and Tate Liverpool. The app is designed to provide users with a bespoke, behind-the-scenes, personalized experience, and let them select from three options – art, activity and eat and shop – with each option providing information about experiences on offer at the gallery that day.
