Robots: hopes and fears – evening panel discussion

There are many ways in which robots could improve healthcare and wellbeing: robotic surgeons are already being used in highly intricate operations, including to treat patients with pancreatic and kidney cancer; in our aging society, robots could help to care for the elderly with humanoid carers; while the many people who are unable to drive for health reasons could find greater independence thanks to driverless cars.

Elizabeth II is a living legend; her life spans an entire epoch. Indeed, during her reign, she has seen the terms of office of all German Federal Chancellors to date, as well as those of British Prime Ministers from Winston Churchill through to Theresa May. Queen Elizabeth II is, moreover, the most portrayed person of the 20th and 21st centuries. With its many depictions of the Queen, this exhibition brings to life the 90 years of her reign.

Ottmar Hörl is acclaimed throughout the world for his large-scale temporary projects focussing on art as a means of communication. His works have been showcased around the world and depict eminent figures such as Karl Marx, Charles the Great, Richard Wagner and Martin Luther. Ottmar Hörl's "Second Life – 100 Workers" is an exciting sculptural project specially created for the Völklinger Hütte World Heritage Site.

Bibliotheca Alexandrina Planetarium Science Center 26 September 2022

A whole science village is constructed on the BA plaza where many schools, universities, NGOs and individuals; as well as companies will join to present different types of activities to educate and entertain you. A variety of activities is presented, including hands-on workshops, interactive exhibits, sessions, in addition to various extraordinary shows.

The Science Festivity 2022 (SF 2022) will take place during 27-28 September 2022 under the overarching theme of “Animal Kingdom”.
