When we travel society is faced with costs which go well beyond those borne directly by us or by the firm which provides the service. Indeed many of our journeys cause an increase in pollution, traffic and infrastructures, not to mention the personal risk of having an accident. In the long term this results in enormous costs for the community!
The exhibition deals precisely with these issues and it does so in original manner, offering the visitor an itinerary which allows him to experience, observe and discover what the ‘mobility’ system is, which choices influence it and what the consequences are.
The exhibition takes a close look at four issues relating to externality, or rather the external costs of transport: safety, congestion, infrastructures and environment. Moving around and travelling have always been an expression of freedom. It is only recently, however, that travelling has become a necessity for all of us, representing a central issue of our social and working life.
Located in Trento (NE Italy), the Museum of Science MUSE is a public insitution devoted to people's science engagement. It is dedicated to research the natural environment & intepret the landscape, in particular of the mountain areas, to promote sustainable development and innovation.
