Step into the Grand Bazaar to see the mysteries of hands-on science unfold. Wander among the various “action shops” where you can join the building and experimenting. Catch the excitement as science learning accelerates when you actively participate.

The Grand Bazaar includes some of the best hands-on educators from around the world. The most difficult task for you is deciding at which “action shop” you should spend your time.

Students learn when we give them concrete, open-ended experiences that snap them out of their daily thinking patterns. By engaging them in active STEM experiences that stimulate imagination, we open the door to dreaming about what they could do next. Then we suggest, encourage, and open the door to their continued exploration and learning. This hands-on Ingenuity process works. It is extremely volatile and energetic, and barely controllable. It launches the unguided missile that called innovation. This session will show how to kick start dreams that lead to curiosity, dreams, and learning through doing and innovation. You will leave with your motor primed, ready to dream.

Each presenter will operate an “action shop,” where you are invited to participate. In some cases you will keep the things you make. Please understand that each presenter is providing materials they have purchased and carried to ECSITE so commit yourself to one or at most two projects and to only viewing the others.
