The Ecsite Conference is the most prominent meeting of science engagement professionals in Europe, bringing together 1,100+ professionals. Ecsite members attend this event at reduced rates and often take part in the conference sessions as speakers or convenors.

The 2021 Ecsite Conference was held online on 9-11 June. All registered participants have been sent a link to re-watch the recorded sessions.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Ecsite Board decided that the 2020 Ecsite Conference would not take place. The 31st edition of the Conference was due to take place in Ljubljana, Slovenia and would have been hosted by the Kersnikova Institute.
The 30th edition of the Ecsite Conference was hosted by Experimentarium in Copenhagen, Denmark. It gathered 1,190 participants from 59 different countries, making it the largest Ecsite Conference ever.
A record-breaking 1,182 professionals from 58 countries gathered in Geneva, Switzerland for the 29th edition of the Ecsite Conference. It was hosted by the Natural History Museum of Geneva in partnership with CERN, University of Geneva Scienscope, and Campus Biotech.

The 2016 Ecsite Conference took place in Graz, Austria. It was the first Ecsite conference to be co-organised by a trio of hosts and it welcomed 1,081 participants from 53 different countries.
The 2015 Ecsite Conference took place in Trento, Italy, on 11-13 June. It gathered 1,101 participants from 52 different countries, breaking an attendance record. Look back on the appetizing “Food for curious minds” edition cooked up by conference host MUSE.
The 2014 Ecsite Conference was hosted by Museon in The Hague, Netherlands. It welcomed 954 people from 48 countries around the "People, Planet, Peace" theme.
The 2013 Ecsite Conference took place in Gothenburg, Sweden and was hosted by Universeum. It gathered 1,058 participants from 47 countries around the theme: "Dreams, the spirit of innovation".
Cité de l’espace, in Toulouse - France’s fourth-largest city - was the proud host of the 2012 Ecsite Conference. 995 people attended.
The 2011 Ecsite Conference was hosted by the Copernicus Science Centre in Warsaw, Poland. It welcomed more than 850 participants.
In 2010, the Ecsite Conference met the European Capital of Culture in Dortmund, Germany’s green metropolis. The Conference was hosted by DASA.
The Ecsite Conference was hosted by the National Museum of Science and Technology “Leonardo da Vinci”, Italy’s largest science and technology museum. 986 participants attended.
Ecsite and the host organisation of the 2008 Ecsite Conference , the Hungarian Natural History Museum, welcomed 797 participants during the three days of the most important European meeting of science centre and museum professionals.
The 18th Ecsite Conference took place in the legendary capital of Portugal – Lisbon and was hosted by Pavilhão do Conhecimento - Ciencia Viva. It was attended by 923 participants from 55 countries in Europe and worldwide.
The Ecsite Annual Conference 2006 was hosted by Technopolis, the Flemish Science Centre in Mechelen, Belgium. It brought together 713 delegates from 40 countries.
