EXTRA, the marketplace for scientific touring exhibitions.
Spinosaurus: Lost Giant of the Cretaceous tells the dramatic story behind the largest predatory dinosaur ever discovered. From unearthing the first recorded specimen in Egypt a century ago, to its destruction during World War II, and then to the remarkable tale behind the giant’s rediscovery in Morocco, this exhibition takes the scenography of these dig sites, infuses them with real fossils, interactive displays, and film footage from the dig sites to unravel thestory and science behind Jurassic Park’s sail-backed wonder. The exhibition was designed and developed with the University of Chicago Fossil Lab and world leading paleontologist, Paul Sereno, who will be embarking on a bold expedition in 2022 to the Sahara Desert with Expedition Films. Museums who host the exhibition will have an opportunity to bring live field knowledge to their institution. Learn more on our website at exhibitsdevelopment.com
