The 2022 Ecsite Conference will be taking place in Heilbronn, Germany, on 2-4 June 2022. It will be hosted by experimenta.

Conference sessions and the Business Bistro will be taking place in a lively camp, created specifically for the Ecsite Conference, a five-minute walk from experimenta.

About the Host

Experimenta is Germany’s largest science centre, situated in the heart of Heilbronn, next to the river Neckar in southern Germany. Experimenta's glass and steel building is joined to the old restored storage building of a former oil mill. The variety of activities available at experimenta are grouped in three “worlds”: The “Discovery Worlds” with their different exhibition spaces, the “Research Worlds” with specialised laboratories, and the “Experience Worlds” which are grouped around a science dome.

About Heilbronn

Heilbronn is a multi-cultural city with a population of 127,000. Heilbronn is affectionately called a “small large city” since everything is in close proximity to everything else. Its central location in southern Germany makes travelling easy and many participants might be able to travel to the Conference by train. The nearest airport is Stuttgart.
