EXTRA, the marketplace for scientific touring exhibitions.
"Baby Animals" is divided into 6 themed zones, each including audio-visual presentations, experiments, games, interactive activities, stuffed animals and animal models and sculptures.
Throughout the trail, thirty or so mini cartoon strips (without words) tell the stories of baby animals through situations and anecdotes that fit with the zone's theme. You will find an explanation of each of these little scenarios appended to this document.
The 6 exhibition zones are:
• Birth
• Threats and protection
• Learning
• Vital functions
• Development
• Independence
The human baby is touched upon systematically in each zone, but is never central to the ideas expressed. We believe that the young visitor will spontaneously use their own experiences and knowledge of their own past to compare the large number of situations that nature presents and which are tackled in the exhibition.
Included in the exhibition:
- 60 species and over one hundred specimens on show
- 9 multimedia activities
- 13 interactive experiments
- 30 comic strips so the youngest children can visit independently
