We want to present an inspiring “speedgeeking” session about innovation, imagination and creativity in exhibitions. Meet experienced designers, producers and creative directors in an intimate setting. Talk with professionals about the creative process of innovation, listen to their dreams, test your own ideas for content development and find out how these geeks approach innovative design.
We tried this new “speedgeeking” format last year and it worked. The basic idea is to have as many great presentations as possible but also to leave time for questions and discussion. The presentations will be quick and powerful and the presenters will try to go beyond “show and tell”. This session is interesting for newcomers but also for more experienced professionals.
“Speedgeeking” is like creative speed dating, a fast moving, inspiring session about innovation in exhibitions and exhibits. How it works: a room with tables is selected as the “speedgeeking” venue. Ideally there are about six or seven audience members for each presenter. The presenters sit at a table and the participants circulate. Presenters have five minutes, to give their presentation and answer questions. At the end of the five minutes the facilitator gives a signal and at this point, each group moves over to the next presenter and the timer starts once more. The session ends when every group has attended all the presentations.
