The Planetarium Science Center is organizing the Midyear Program for students of ages 4 – 16 years old, during the period 26 January to 6 February 2014. Online registration at the PSC website: http://wwwhttp://www.bibalex.org/psc/midyear, during the period 5 – 9 January 2014, or till all places reserved.
The program comprises a group of various activities as practical experiments, scientific contests, lectures, Planetarium and Auditorium shows.
The Planetarium Science Center at the Library of Alexandria is organizing a number of workshops that encourage school students to explore their creativity and help them find out how to use it in their life; all the while enriching their knowledge. In the workshops, students are able to interact with each other and with the world around them in an exciting and entertaining manner; they are guaranteed to have a blast!
During the period 27—28 November 2013, the Planetarium Science Center in collaboration with the Arab Academy for Science & Technology and Maritime Transport, Regional Informatics Center (AASTMT/RIC) will hold a local robotics competition called Robotheca Alexandrina Olympiad (RAO). RAO is dedicated to students 12 to 18 years old. It comprises two categories; Diver Robot and Robofight category. In 2012 the PSC launched a Robotics educational program in cooperation with AASTMT/RIC. The program is composed of two levels, each comprising 10 hands-on sessions.
The Planetarium Science Center (PSC) at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) is organizing the seventh Science Festivity under the overarching theme of “Natural Hazards”. The Festivity aims to advance and share the knowledge of hazards mitigation and disaster preparedness, response, and recovery. Increasing public awareness of natural hazards risk shall significantly reduce the risks of the death, injury, economic cost, and destruction of natural and cultural resources caused by natural disasters.
International Masterclasses are organized by IPPOG, the International Particle Physics Outreach Group and the Planetarium Science Center, at the third and forth floating rooms in the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Conferences Center. Each Masterclass is a one-day-activity taking place at a university or research institute. Researchers invite High school students, aged 16 – 19 and let them be scientists for one day. Organized by the Planetarium Science Center, Intel-BASEF is a competition designed to increase the school students’ (age 14–18 years ) awareness of the importance of scientific research and to discover the youth innovative and research capacities. Intel-BASEF participants are requested to research a certain topic, from among 17 scientific themes.
Astronomy is one of the few sciences where amateurs can conduct an active role, particularly in discovering and monitoring transient phenomena, such as comets, novae and supernovae. The Planetarium Science Center (PSC) will initiate the Amateur Astronomy Club (AAC), where the amateur astronomers can practice astronomy for interest and enjoyment, under the supervision of the PSC. The Program comprises 9 days within the period March 7th to April 27th, presented to youths of ages 10 – 16 years.

The Super Science Show is a theatrical show where science is animated in a fun and exciting manner. Life on the stage, the viewers will discover the marvels of science through magical demonstrations. Demonstrations are based on the scientific integration of the different fields of science like chemistry, physics and biology to excite school students and stimulate their curiosity to learn.

Realizing his distinguished stature, the Planetarium Science Center (PSC) proudly hosts the Fermi Legacy Exhibition, at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Conference Center (West Exhibition Hall), during the period 6 to 25 November 2012. The exhibition comprises 10 panels, and 8 groups of photos, and numerous quotations; describing his background, his life, and his achievements and contributions as one of the 20th century leading scientists.

The second edition of the National STEM Community Fund has been launched, which will enable eligible organisations to carry out community-based STEM-related projects within the community. Organisations who engage with a researcher or STEM professional for such projects can receive up to a maximum of €8,000 per project.

The PSC is inviting all school students of ages 6-15 years to join the Summer Program, starting from the 28th of September till the 17th of October 2020. The program includes various activities, such as practical experiments, scientific contests. The purpose of this program is to emphasize the bond between students and learning by approaching knowledge through fun and games. Limited number is available due to COVID-19 circumstances.
