Enter a world where nothing is as it seems, there are no rules and fun is engineered. Sail a yacht on land, build a tower on an unstable table, and meddle with the outcome of a do-it-yourself pinball machine. In Scitech’s latest feature exhibition, “Ingenious!”, visitors can make, tinker and engineer via a variety of hands-on and full-body experiences. In the tinker zone, visitors can build a car out of household materials such as straws, wood, paperclips, material, and core flutes and then test their automotive engineering on a race track.
How much that has been imagined by sci-fi writers has now become reality, and how much could be our future? Many scientists are already working on projects that once were considered science fiction – this exhibition explores the reality of innovation and invention in science.
This exhibition allows visitors the opportunity to step into the shoes of a palaeontologist and get up-close-and-personal with seven incredible animatronic dinosaurs including Stegosaurus, Triceratops, Muttaburrasaurus and the King of the Cretaceous Period, the Tyrannosaurus Rex.
Visitors can uncover the secrets behind fossils and learn how these prehistoric creatures lived.
Do you have what it takes to be a hero? How would you react in a high-pressure scenario with people’s lives at stake? ‘Rescue’ is a unique, hands-on exhibition that focuses on the science and technology of rescue scenarios and emergency services. ‘Rescue’ puts you in charge as you discover what it’s like to be involved in land, sea and air rescues. Take control of a full-size helicopter simulator to get a bird’s eye view of a rescue scene and use infrared cameras to look for heat signals.
Picture 20,000 individual LED lights illuminating a tunnel that you can walk through. Now imagine being able to manipulate those lights to follow your every movement.

ARphymedes, an acronym for AR Physics Made for Students, resembles the name of probably the most famous physicist in history, Archimedes. Stories about this genius remind us that humankind will be nothing without the dreamers. We should give kids the opportunity to explore their dreams, and AR (augmented reality) is one way to do so.
