Copernicus Science Centre 16 March 2022

Ecsite member Copernicus Science Centre have already witnessed the huge impact of the arrival of hundreds of thousands of refugees from Ukraine. Here is a glimpse of some of the activities they have already started in order to support the Ukrainian people.

Raumschiff - The Maker-Space for Astronomy 28 February 2022

We are looking for a public engagement professional to work for our new project ‘Open Science Club’ aiming at engaging children and adults in astronomy over a longer period of time: science - a hobby just like music or sports. The club will be built around citizen science and open data. A variety of activities involving the local and international learning landscapes around astronomy will allow for individual learning paths. A good knowledge of German is a must.

Hüttinger Interactive Exhibitions 1 December 2021

After our work for the Cell Lab back in 2005 we were commissioned with its redesign, renovation and remanufacturing in October 2020. As far as possible, old parts and exhibits were reused in the new furniture. The Cell Lab allows the handling of real laboratory equipment and gives an insight into the work of a modern laboratory - it was reopened to the public in mid-November 2021.

FDS Europe

Thank you to the Deutsches Museum (Germany), the Tekniska Museet (Sweden), the Hiša Eksperimentov (Slovenia), the Esplora Interactive Science Centre (Malta) and the Copernicus Science Centre (Poland) !

They were part of the French Science Festival from 1 to 3 October at the Cité des sciences et de l'industrie and successfully met with the French audience.

Following our collaborations for H2Oh! and All About You! we were again contracted by the museum to work together with the in-house design team to develop and fabricate exhibits for STEAM PARK.
Achievements in science and art start with the same spark: wonder. When the AAHOM asked a team of Toyota staff what led them to become an engineer, scientist or researcher, each pointed to a moment of childhood wonder as the spark of curiosity that blossomed into a career. These same catalysts to innovation now have a new place to work their magic at AAHOM.

In October 2019 we were awarded by Design and Production Inc. the fabrication contract for the GO and Water exhibitions for Danville Science Center, which included interactive engineering, exhibit development, prototyping, software engineering, content and media development and final graphic design.

From the smallest drop of water to terrifying tsunamis, the Geo’Dynamic! exhibition takes you on an exciting journey of discovery through the meteorological and geophysical phenomena that take place within and on the surface of our Earth. In this new space, designed to look like an Earth observation station, explore, discover, play with, experience and feel: rain, storms, clouds, earthquakes and the wind.
We were entrusted with the design and build of interactives for Geo'Dynamic ! .

Life Science Centre in Newcastle upon Tyne offered free instructor-led hula hooping sessions for adults on Wednesday 4 August to mark Playday – the National Day of Play in the UK.

In May 2020 we were contracted to design and build 27 interactive exhibits for Explore! the centre‘s new exhibition on approx. 540 m² of their first floor. Explore! places visitors at the heart of the experience, using a design and interpretation philosophy that promotes the centre’s approach to accessible science communication. The exhibition celebrates the wonder and beauty of science around us. It uses exemplar phenomena-based exhibits to develop the scientist in all of us Explorers, Facilitators and Experience Seekers.
