NorthernLight was asked by creative agency Fabrique and technical agency Q42 to join in the international tender for developing a wayfinding app for the Tate Museums. The tender was won with the simple concept: from wayfinding to dayfinding. An app that is a friendly and intuitive companion to help make your visit the best visit possible. By the end of 2015, development started on the app that will personalize and enrich a visit to Tate Modern, Tate Britain, Tate Liverpool and Tate St. Ives. NorthernLight has functioned as a creative consultant for the concept and development phase.
August 2016 the Ajax Gallery of Fame opened its doors in the Amsterdam ArenA. Present day Ajax star Davy Klaassen and all time Ajax superstar Dennis Bergkamp were among the guests. This beautiful new gallery shows the highlights of the rich history of the world famous Amsterdam football club Ajax. The gallery brings the “We are Ajax feeling” alive in a unique and fascinating way.
The London Science Museum will host a two-day space conference on September 14 and 15. During the conference, participants will have the chance to join ESA and international experts, both from within but also from outside the Space field, to explore and learn how research in the unique environment of space is creating opportunities to meet key challenges on Earth.
On August 25 the mayor of Amsterdam opened Europe’s highest swing called “OverTheEdge”. This one of a kind swing is placed on top of Amsterdam’s latest visitor attraction the A’DAM Tower. Visitor literally swing over the edge and get a magical experience floating in mid air 100 meters above the city.

Terramar Museum, Bonaire first to tell Caribbean history
On 5 August the Terramar Museum will open on Bonaire, Netherlands Antilles. It is the first museum to tell the history of the whole Caribbean region. Bonaire is visited by thousands of tourists and cruise passengers daily. Most of these visitors have little knowledge of the mix of cultures that lived on the islands and whose traces can still be found. The stories told in the Terramar Museum will give visitors a renewed and richer perspective on the history of this special part of the world.
In September 2013 we were entrusted with the development of a master plan for the Tech Dome Penang, a hub for technology learning, exchange of ideas and a vehicle for improving scientific literacy and technology ability in Malaysia.
Mr. Mijbil Almutawa, Vice Chairman and CEO of the Kuwait Scientific Center, passed away on 27 July. Together with Engineer Hoda Al Miqati, Mijbil was one of the founders of the NAMES Network and its President for two terms.
