The exhibition examines different aspects of how humans have mastered fire, through 4 themes:

Taming and understanding fire:

From prehistoric times to today’s date. Fire also lives through myths and symbology.

Understanding and using fire:

Through chemistry, flames and combustion physics or the forest fire ecology. Discovering the perspectives and stakes involved in current research. The tool at the service of men and industries.

Defending oneself from fire:

Fire as a synonym of danger and destruction, tools to fight it, research for better prevention and protection.
