EXTRA, the marketplace for scientific touring exhibitions.
Dialogue with Time is an interactive exhibition to rethink patterns about old people, the first of its kind in the world. The objective is to shift perspectives towards the aging process and to abolish prejudices and stereotypes. Contrary to widespread belief, aging doesn’t automatically go along with decline, isolation and loss. Through experiential play, a creative intergenerational dialogue is fostered, dispelling stereotypes and clichés of old age. The exhibition dares to redefine the term “old” by providing an authentic encounter with a specially trained senior of 70 years or older, while transformative experiential stations invite to rethink clichés. The guides act as mediators, experts for all facets of aging and role models and create a personal and unique atmosphere.
Dialogue with Time intends to support a positive debate and to confine negative perspectives about aging while giving a perspective on the aging society of tomorrow: How do we want to live in 25 years from now? What do we need? When do we have to start?
If you are interested in interactive exhibitions, the rising topic of aging and demographic change or would like to involve your local community into a wonderful project, Dialogue with Time would be a real asset to your institution and can be adapted to any language or cultural context to fit your audience.
