The SCWS is a global meeting of professionals of science centres / museums and their networks from around the world. Next edition: 15-17 November 2017, Japan. Submit a proposal for a parallel or poster session by 9 October 2016.
Cité des Sciences & de l’industrie in Paris, France kicked-off a series of public events highlighting the research funded by the European Research Council (ERC) by hosting a two-day back-to-back dialogue events and a fab lab workshop all dedicated to the theme of urban living and the simmering urban crisis.
A digital campaign launched by the L'Oréal foundation to change the perceptions of women in sciences, with useful resources for STEM professionals.
On 30 June 2016, Ecsite hosted the “Making your Business More Gender Inclusive: An Opportunity for Growth” workshop in the context of the Hypatia project. Keynotes brought political, economic and theoretical discussions to the table, and built a case for diversity, not only on moral grounds, but on industries’ bottom line.
“Beyond the Lab: The DIY Science Revolution” is a pan-European exhibition that shows how ordinary people are harnessing science in all sorts of ways. The exhibition will be touring Europe in the next two years.
SYNTHESIS is a European programme providing funding to natural historians and taxonomists for short research visits to 18 partners labelled "Taxonomic Access Facilities". Apply by 13 October
The EU-funded project RRI Tools is organising its final event in Brussels, Belgium on 21-22 November 2016.
Ecsite is a partner in a proposal on the Horizon 2020 call "SwafS-15-2016: Open Schooling and collaboration on science education" and is looking for eight Ecsite members to join the proposal as Third Parties. Apply by 14 August.
