Seize this opportunity to exhibit your ART&ICT project at the Bozar Electronics Art Festival in Brussels (25-28 September).
The European Commission recently launched a consultation to inform the 2016-2017 “Science with and for Society” Programme (part of the Horizon 2020 funding framework). Ecsite is gathering contributions from science engagement organizations and professionals (both members and non-members) in order to submit a contribution in the network’s name.
The Ecsite quarterly magazine has been sent to members, together with the 2013 Annual Report. Here is the cover – the full issue will be downloadable as a pdf from beginning of September. Expressions of interest for Horizon2020 call for Integrating Society in Science and Innovation – topic “Pan-European public outreach: exhibitions and science cafés engaging citizens in science” are coming in… Ecsite members can apply until the end of tomorrow (16 July). The attached chart shows how many expressions of interest were received per country (as of 15 July, 10am).
The EU has just announced a new grant aiming to reduce the “research and innovation gap” within the EU. This €64 million knowledge transfer programme could be an opportunity for the science communication research community.
The European Commission has just launched a consultation “to better understand the full societal potential of ‘Science 2.0’ as well as the desirability of any possible policy action.”
Ecsite is coordinating proposal for the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 Call for Integrating society in science and innovation under the topic: “Pan-European public outreach: exhibitions and science cafés engaging citizens in science”. Ecsite is looking to involve one of its members as “third party” in each member state of the European Union (a few are already covered).
Delivered by Exploratorium and starting this week, the course runs through the whole Summer.
The Rhine Waal University of Applied Sciences (Kleve, Germany) is offering a tuition-free Science Communication programme taught in English. Candidates can apply until 15 July.
