The second edition of the Time for Nano video contest recently ended with the jury awarding the European prize to a German video.
The European Commission has announced a new prize to give public recognition to the very best women innovators who have brought their outstanding achievements to market.
Representatives from the OSR project traveled to Athens, Georgia, USA, to present the project at the 11th IEEE International Conference on Advanced Learning Technologies, 6-8 July 2011. The project picked up the award for Best Paper in the Poster category: www.ask4research.info/icalt/2011/.
OSR also won a Silver Award at the Learning Impact Awards in Long Beach, California, USA, in May 2011.
Research is set to remain high on the EU’s political agenda as Research, Innovation and Science Commissioner Máire Geoghegan-Quinn announced the release of nearly EUR 7 billion for stimulating European innovation through research funding on 20 July 2011.
