Science engagement organisations have a unique opportunity to draft plans together with the 100 cities selected by the European Commission to be role models in reaching climate neutrality by 2030. The programme is part of the Horizon Europe Cities Mission, one of the EU’s five research missions, a new type of programme aiming to generate critical mass to tackle pressing societal challenges.
Every year the LEGO Idea Conference gathers partners and other thought leaders around the idea of Learning Through Play, which means hands-on, minds-on experiences that promote skills development for all people across the development domains: physical, social, emotional, cognitive and creative. Learning Through Play is at the heart of LEGO Idea Conference efforts to empower children to develop a breadth of skills and become creative, engaged lifelong learners.
Meeting of directors of museums and administration in charge of museum policy
Paris, May 3-4, 2022
Directors of museums from the 27 Member States of the EU were invited in Paris to discuss the role of museums in Europe in the framework of the French Presidency of the EU Council, and exchange on their main challenges for the future in the cultural fabric of Europe.
The Ecsite Annual General Meeting will be taking place on Friday 3 June 2022, 15:45 – 17:00, in Heilbronn, Germany. All Ecsite members are welcome to attend but only Full members have voting rights.

The final Policy event from the RETHINK and TRESCA EU-funded projects was held on the 21 and 22 of March 2022.
Nine full members, four associate members, three sustaining members and 1 one-person company have been accepted by the Ecsite Board since January 2022.
For the past year Make it Open has been working on a series of information packs, that as one of the authors states, "is designed to speak to new entrants as well as those who have experience with Open Schooling". These packs are there to provide clarity on open schooling and how schools can begin to open up and work with the community on local community-based problems. If you as a science centre, museum or informal learning organisation want to look for more ways to encourage schools to work with you and "open up" more, these packs might be a good starting point for you too.
The small and medium-sized museums involved in the first incubation stage will now start their incubation journey and work to refine their project.
