The Wellcome Centre for Human Neuroimaging, part of the UCL Institute of Neurology, is seeking a 0.4 FTE Science Communications Officer to support the researchers in the dissemination and communication of the work within the Centre. Working closely with the Public Engagement Manager and the Director, the post holder’s role will include developing content and maintaining our website and other UCL pages, assisting in the management of social media platforms, developing press releases for media, and liaising with the central UCL media team.

Applicants must have strong oral and written communication skills, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, IT proficiency at advanced user level, and a highly organised and professional approach.

The post is available from end of January and is funded on a casual basis at two days per week until Jan 2022 in the first instance, funded by a grant from Wellcome. Funding for this role may be continued dependent on budget beyond this date. The rate will be between £14.17 per hour including London Weighting.
