How can tinkering and making transform traditional learning models?
This extended session allows participants to engage with deconstruction and construction literally and metaphorically as we take apart and re-evaluate our ideas about the role of making and tinkering in learning environments, engaging with a playful hands-on workshop to deconstruct (and re-invent) mechanical toys before carefully deconstructing and analysing the experience to show how this approach to making supports joyful and inclusive learning. We will conclude the session in small groups to share concrete ideas on how this form of learning can impact our spaces in small and big ways.
