Science Cinema: new museum communication language
The world of today is the world of visual – bright, quick and geographically unlimited. We think by frames, speak by PowerPoint presentations and tell our stories by stop motion technique. It’s global reality.
Science cinema projects in museums aim to make science popular, to share science process with each regular one citizen. Science museums and science centers have mostly common goals: attract different types of audience, engage visitors, to be in touch.
During this session we will compare different experience: science cinema museum festivals, screening programs in museums, science festivals and etc. How it attracts new audience and partner projects? What role does it play in developing regional network? In which way could it change museum brand? Is it possible to use it as base of science communication?
