Science centres are wonderful places to ignite curiosity and raise awareness about science or technology topics. But how good are they when it comes to stimulating visitors to start their own projects, to build with others or to co-create with a company’s Research & Development staff? Do we have the know-how and the infrastructure to go beyond mere curiosity and empower visitor to co-design, experiment and debate research and innovation? Shifting from being a customer in the research and innovation restaurant, the visitor could be redefined as one of the cooks – or even the chef in person. This workshop will empower participants to build their own formats focusing on idea generation, prototyping and testing, using case invention or creative data projects.
