This session will discuss new technologies and their use to capture visitor experiences and evaluate exhibits and exhibitions.
Eye tracking, smartwatches, RFID data, EEET - there are many ways of getting accurate data about the way people are playing, moving or learning in your public spaces. Smartwatches record movements across exhibitions and track emotions through pulse. RFID data can channel big data generated in galleries and give a broad picture of visitor flows. Eye tracking provides hard data on elements that attract visitors' attention the most.
We will be sharing experiences of using new technologies to gather visitor data in science centres and museums, and discussing value for money and impact on your organisation's public image.
