Ecsite Stats is a tool designed for science centres and museums to track data in their field. Be part of this process and add your 2012 data now (and your 2011 data if you haven’t already – it’s never too late.)
Ecsite Stats was developed last year to compile statistical information from our field, so we need your participation to make this tool work for everyone. The more statistics we get from you, the more insight we all have. The result is an invaluable resource for us all, allowing you to benchmark your activities, draw up graphs about our field, see the trends and advocate for your institutions.
We have just finished updating Ecsite Stats to make it more user-friendly for you. It’s really this simple:
1. Log in using your institutional user name 2. Add your 2011 and 2012 data to Ecsite Stats: www.ecsite.eu/networkstatistics

What is Ecsite Stats?
Ecsite Stats is a tailor-made online tool to gather and compare data about the exhibition space, visitors and operations of Ecsite member institutions. This tool was developed by the Ecsite Executive Office as part of Ecsite’s strategic plan. It is a tool which relies on data input from you as an Ecsite member, and serves you and the network in a number of ways.
How is Ecsite Stats useful to me?
- On an institutional level, Ecsite Stats enables you to benchmark your activities against other institutions across Europe.
- You can generate your own clear and intuitive graphs from your data.
- Ecsite Stats allows you to see the trends, and compare national and European issues among institutions in our field.
- In your role as an advocate for public engagement in science in your country, it gives you and the rest of the network solid data to facilitate advocacy on a regional, national and European level. And the fact that it is aligned with similar data tools in other regions of the world means it allows us an international voice for science centres and museums.
