The OPAL Awards recognise excellence in Open Educational Resources (OER) policy, promotion and use, and quality and innovation in educational organizations. During the session the winning projects from policy bodies, institutions and learning contexts were presented. A discussion between the public and some of the representatives of the projects on the projects’ relevance and transferability followed. The Open Science Resources (OSR) is a collaborative project coordinated by Ecsite and is co-funded by the European Commission under the eContentplus programme. The project started in June 2009 and will continue until May 2012.
