In its three years of existence, the MUZZA association has organized three large projects and cooperation on one European project:
1. "Traveling Library – Backpacks of Little Explorers" have been distributed to primary schools in Glina, Petrinja, and Dvor. These backpacks contain a collection of five popular science books in Croatian and English, aimed at children from grades 5 to 8, and an interactive social game about robots, and a notebook. The backpacks are designed as mobile libraries, as students would borrow them at school for a certain period and later pass them on to other children. As part of this humanitarian project, the MUZZA association aims to provide each school with three backpacks for young science explorers, thus supporting children whose schools were damaged by earthquakes.
2. I. (2022) . II. (2023), III. (2024). MUZZA Science Week - The Festival was created in collaboration with the scientific community and the city of Zagreb to bring science closer to children and youth in response to the lack of long-term scientific centers in Zagreb. We want visitors to learn everything about STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics), that is, to popularize science and make it accessible to children and youth. During Science Week, we combine science and fun and transform our weekend activities into a scientific-educational-entertainment center. We want to enable children and youth to meet and fall in love with rich Croatian and world science through interesting exhibits, experiments, and stories. The themes at this year's Science Week were: A Look into Space, Humanya - science about humans, Superorganism, Future of Robots, Future of Transportation, Little Scientists (for preschool children), Sensational Science, MUZZA LAB. E-lab, Ecology and Climate, Robotics Workshops, Film and Media Literacy, Play for Health, and Plant and Animal World. Besides the exhibition part, we also had panels with relevant topics for today's times.
3. Collaboration on the European project "MUZZA Interpretation Center for the Popularization of Science and STEM" - This EU project is designed to strengthen the capacities of various cultural, technical, and other NGOs for the popularization of STEM (associations are from Ilok, Vukovar, Slavonski Brod, Samobor, and Dekanovec near Čakovec). The project covers the areas of STEM, education, study trips, the establishment of an interpretation center, and holding camps in rural areas. The long-term goal of the project is to increase the number of activities aimed at popularizing STEM among children and youth by establishing permanent and virtual exhibits, conducting workshops, and organizing various events.
