The Clore Garden of Science is a unique outdoors science museum. It is part of the Davidson Institute of Science education and is located within the campus of the Weizmann institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel.
We believe in connecting people to science, and therefore we initiate, organize and operate a wide range of educational activities, programs and events. We strive to be a professional epicenter for diverse general public (as well as for students, teachers and academics etc).
At the Garden of Science, we invite visitors to get involved and to play with the exhibits, to ask questions and to explore the scientific phenomena behind them, and thereby connect to science in the most direct and fun and unique way.
Located outdoors, the natural elements such as sunlight, wind and water play an important role in many of the garden's displays. The outdoor location enables us as well to demonstrate the natural cycles of life and investigating different natural phenomena and interrelations within the ecosystem. The different aspects of global change, its influence on life on earth and the scientific research underling this issue are stressed in the garden displays.
During the time from its establishment at 1998, the garden gained international awards, among them- the 1999 Award for innovation by ASTC in partnership with BBH Exhibits, Inc.
