When policymaking meets co-creation

Co-creation

Since the beginning of the project, SISCODE has developed and used various content to explore the application of co-creation and design methodologies in public engagement activities, with the aim to bridge the gap between science, society and innovation.

Most of these tools and documentation have had the opportunity to be tested and experimented during project workshops or in our experimentation labs, the so-called Co-Creation labs.

SISCODE's ambition to engage policymakers into the process of co-creation has lead to the launch of the SISCODE Learning Hub for policymakers.

This platform contains relevant thematic areas such as Design for policymaking, User-centred Culture or Service design for policy implementation.

Different kinds of tools and materials are presented, from informative videos, lectures and scientific publications to case studies and more practical tools.

SISCODE

SISCODE is a three-year project aiming to understand the co-creation phenomenon that is flourishing in Europe (in fab labs, living labs, social innovations, smart cities, communities and regions) and to analyse the context and conditions that support its effective introduction, scalability and replication. Eventually this will help bridge the gap between the process of co-constructing policies and their implementation. Co-creation will be analysed in particular in the light of Responsible Research and Innovation and Science, technology and innovation policies.
