FIT4FOOD2030 seeks to involve 7 organisations that deliver science engagement to participate as Food Labs in the activities planned for the final year of the project. All organisations interested in or wishing to experiment with
- Nutrition and sustainable and healthy diets
- Climate-smart and environmentally sustainable food systems
- Circularity and resource efficiency
- Innovation and empowerment of communities
are invited to apply, whether located in urban, non-urban or rural areas. Could your organisation be the one we're looking for? Read on to learn what's in it for you!
Selected organisations will first be trained on methodologies and resources developed by the FIT4FOOD2030 project for food system transformation towards the goals of the European Commission's Food 2030 policy framework. Equipped with these tools and their existing expertise, they will open a dialogue with citizens and stakeholders in their local area around future-proofing the local food system and deliver training specific to their communities’ needs, experimenting with the FIT4FOOD2030 educational modules currently being developed by the project. Finally, Food Labs will have the opportunity to share their experiences and lessons learned with a variety of European-level stakeholders in the project’s final conference (autumn 2020). To recap:
What's in it for the Food Labs?
- Connect with local communities on the key issue of food systems ready for the future
- Build on existing events and actions to deliver competence training
- Train with innovative methodologies and resources for transformation and capturing learning
- Receive visibility at the EU level via in-person and online opportunities
- Connect with our 16 project partner institutions working on food system transformation towards Food 2030 and their extensive networks
