The successful candidate will have an outstanding research record in science communication with a focus on visual communication. This might include but is not limited to data visualization, data journalism, (visual) information processing, visual literacy, and/or visual aspects of communication campaigns. Ideally, the candidate’s work will be relevant to one or more of the College of Agricultural & Life Sciences (CALS) key strategic areas as context of inquiry.
The candidate will teach cutting-edge courses in science (and visual) communication in one of the college’s fastest-growing undergraduate majors. The successful candidate will also advise Masters and Ph.D. students and teach graduate level courses in LSC’s M.S. programs and in their Ph.D. program (jointly administered with UW’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication).
