The European Researchers' Nights is the European Commission's flagship initiative aiming to bring researchers and the public closer, to dispel stereotypes concerning researchers and research field, and to encourage young people to embark careers in research.

Every year and all over Europe and in neighbouring countries, events are dedicated to popular science and fun learning on the last Friday of September.

In 2018, the Researchers' Night will take place on Friday, 28 September, in over 340 cities across Europe. This interactive map shows you the events happening near you.

All the events are supported by the European Commission as a part of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, funded under the Horizon 2020 programme, to boost the careers of researchers.

One night is not enough?

In France, Science and Research will also be celebrated during the "Fête de la science" from 6 to14 October.

On this occasion, Universcience will invite several other Ecsite members (Universum, Parque de las Ciencias de Granada, Science Museum London and Copernicus Science Centre) to present shows as a part of the European village located at the "Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie".
