The PROSO project, funded by the European Union‘s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme, is called after Promoting Societal Engagement in Research and Innovation. With the major goal of providing guidance on how to encourage engagement of citizens and third sector organizations in Europe’s research and innovation processes, they released in February 2018 a document edited by Marion Dreyer, Hannah Kosow, Frank Dratsdrummer.

This toolkit offers information and inspiration to develop policies and practices that encourage the engagement of citizens and third sector actors in publicly-funded research and in research and innovation policy in the European Union. In that sense, it is a support tool for putting Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) into practice.
