In partnership with UNESCO and ICOM, science centres worldwide will celebrate the International Science Centre & Science Museum Day (ISCSMD) on 10 November.
For its first edition in 2016, more than 300 science centres and science museums participated in the global event, from more than 55 countries on six continents covering 20 time zones, all presenting a diverse range of special events, programmes, and exhibitions. ISCSMD addresses the way science centres and museums educate their diverse audiences about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Whether you create something big and new or choose to label a pre-existing activity, join the movement and put your venue on the map!
Once you have identified which of your activities relate to one or more of the SDGs, pick one or more and label them as ISCSMD activities.
Numerous resources are available on the website's toolkit to help promote your institution's participation in the ISCSMD locally, including templates for use in social media, press relations, and broadcast emails, ISCSMD project information and logos and additional educational resources.
More information on the ISCSMD website and on the dedicated Facebook page.
