On 27 January Jo Johnson, Minister for Universities and Science, confirmed a £30 million (40 million euros) Inspiring Science Capital Fund, which includes £20 million from government and £10 million from the Wellcome Trust.

The UK Association of Science Discovery Centres (ASDC) expressed its delight: "this excellent investment will enable science centres across the UK to inspire more young people and families with STEM".
