Mr. Tomas Rehacek (trehacek@ecsite.eu)
In today's world of seemingly unlimited technological and scientific prowess, one has to pay much heed to the consequences a new scientific breakthrough or a particular research entails. Obviously it's not only positive impacts we are talking about but mostly the negative ones. It is therefore critical to integrate Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) in science and engineering university curricula at higher educational institutions (HEI). And this is precisely what the HEIRRI project aims to achieve. Doing so in a co-creative fashion requires a multistakeholder, multidisciplinary discussion and HEIRRI just launched a platform where such a discussion is going to take place in the coming weeks and months. Indeed, as the attached press release states, "a new HEIRRI blog will serve as a gateway to the outside world!"
The blog will provide updates and news but most of all its content will spark a discussion about various aspects of RRI in HEI and its integration in the curricula. Make sure you keep abreast of the latest trends and developments and get involved directly by sharing your opinion with us!
