We are pleased to announce that, after the success of the first two years, we are organising the third edition of the JCOM Masterclasses. Ecsite members are entitled to a 30% discount.
In the past editions, over 150 participants from 48 countries came to Trieste to attend the courses. Best and innovative practices were presented, tested when possible, and discussed. Past participants have stated they have gained both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Also, they have greatly appreciated the opportunity to exchange experiences and reflections with colleagues and speakers.
The new four courses are dedicated to scientists, architects, designers, multimedia developers, explainers, managers of science museums and other professionals in science communication. Dates and titles of courses are as follows:

Facilitating the debate on the scientific and technological progress
Trieste, 17 – 21 October

Trieste, 7 – 11 November
Communicating current research to various audiences

Grants and other support opportunities
A number of grants will be made available for people working in developing countries. Registrations will open later in the year.
European science centres, museums and other organizations might get support for the staff participation through the Erasmus plus programme, which deadline is the 2nd of February. Check the online guide for applications provided by Ecsite.
