One of the Intel Bibliotheca Alexandrina Science and Engineering Fair 2014 top three grand awards winners, Sara Ezat, Mona ELsayed and hoda Shoman, two from dakahlia governorate and one from Sharkia governorate, got the third grand award in enviromental sciences category at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair 2014 held in LA, California, USA 13-16 May 2014. The award was on thier project “vacuum evaporator for water purification”

This project has been qualified from dakahlia Governorate Local Fair, organized by the PSC, then it joined Intel BASEF event at the BA, during the period 16-18 March 2014, and has been chosen as one of top three projects to represent Egypt at the ISEF event this year.

The PSC had organized a special program at the BA to prepare the BASEF winners to participate at the ISEF on both technical and soft skills, supervised by an accurately selected team of University Professors.

It is worth mentioning that Egypt had participated in Intel ISEF 2005 and got two special awards in 2009 for the first time, and in 2013 got two Categories Grand Awards; fourth place in electrical and mechanical engineering and fourth place in computer science.
