Sci- fi fans can rejoice, as one of Europe’s largest privately owned collections of model robots, cyborgs and androids now on display at Life Science Centre. This fascinating new exhibition will display robots, androids and cyborgs from TV shows and films from the past 60 years, and features over 40 full size robot models, heads and robot toys, including replicas of famous robots that you may recognise from the big screen!

The Planetarium Science Center is organizing a one day festivity to celebrate the International Year of Light as declared by the UNESCO to be this year, 2015. The day will highlight the famous ancient scientist, Ibn Al-Haytham, and his contributions in the fields of optics and light.
Newcastle’s only outdoor ice rink returns for 2015! Grab your skates, wrap up warm and head down to Times Square for a whirl around the ice! You could even treat yourself to a delicious hot chocolate for the full festive experience!
Please note: children aged 9 and under must be accompanied by an adult on the ice rink. Children aged 10 - 12 must be supervised by an adult (adults can watch from the viewing platform if they prefer).
1001 Inventions Exhibition

The Planetarium Science Center of Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) will host the global blockbuster “1001 Inventions” exhibition and its parallel activities in Egypt. This is in collaboration with 1001 Inventions Foundation and the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, with the patronage of the Egyptian Prime Ministry.
Do you see what you see? Taste what you smell? Hear what you see? Your senses and your brain often work together well, however, sometimes things can go wrong. Mistakes like these are exactly what illusionists like to work with and what scientists try to understand the workings of. In the Museon, the two worlds of magic and science touch. The beauty of science
In order to promote the idea of social development based on education, science, technology and innovation – on the 12th of September a nationwide campaign “SPiN Day – for the Society and Science” will be organised by Porozumienie Społeczeństwo i Nauka SPiN (Society and Science Agreement). It is the first event of this kind implemented on such a scale by science communicators in Poland.
ALEXANDRIA, Egypt – Forty science communication professionals from southern Europe, North Africa and the Middle East will come together for the second edition of the Euro-Mediterranean and Middle East Summer School of Science Communication (EMME) to drive development of new science communication endeavors in their respective countries and regions.
This multicultural effort, motivated by a passion for science communication without borders, is the basis for EMME which will be held at Bibliotheca Alexandrina in Alexandria, Egypt from 5 to 10 September 2015.

For the first time Life Science Centre is opening its doors for a special Summer Science Camp! At this five day event for 13 to 18 year olds, there will be the chance to do lots of exciting and cool stuff.
This lecture is a special event for Game On 2.0. Neuroscientist, writer and broadcaster Professor Susan Greenfield believes long exposure to computers and computer gaming is harmful to the human brain. Her book, Mind Change was published in August 2014. In Mind Change, Professor Greenfield discusses the all-pervading technologies that now surround us. In her view they are creating a new environment, with vast implications, because our minds are physically adapting: being rewired. Using the very latest research, Mind Change is intended to incite debate as well as yield the way forward.

In May 2020 we were contracted to design and build 27 interactive exhibits for Explore! the centre‘s new exhibition on approx. 540 m² of their first floor. Explore! places visitors at the heart of the experience, using a design and interpretation philosophy that promotes the centre’s approach to accessible science communication. The exhibition celebrates the wonder and beauty of science around us. It uses exemplar phenomena-based exhibits to develop the scientist in all of us Explorers, Facilitators and Experience Seekers.
CONNECT is Dundee Science Centre‘s redevelopment project to update the ground floor of the centre, bringing in three new exhibition zones and making the centre more accessible to all. Themes in the exhibitions address key topics such as sustainability and support to inspire and develop the workforce of the future.
After our first collaboration with Pavilhão do Conhecimento - Ciência Viva for VIRAL - A Contagious Experience back in 2015 we were now entrusted with the design engineering and fabrication of Água - uma exposição sem filtro (lit. Water - An unfiltered exhibition).
Following great success in the USA, Nomad Exhibitions and Manchester Museum are delighted to announce the next stop on the global Golden Mummies of Egypt exhibition tour. This summer we will be opening at the Beijing World Art Museum at the Chinese Millennium Monument for the start of a Chinese leg of the tour! The exhibition remains available for hire from 2023.

Two Ecsite members, Naturalis (Leiden, the Netherlands) and CosmoCaixa (Barcelona, Spain) have won prizes at the European Museum of the Year Awards. Futurium (Berlin, Germany) also received a Special Commendation. Congratulations to them all!
Life Science Centre, in Newcastle, UK, has been awarded the Gold Standard by The North East Autism Society (NEAS), making it the first visitor attraction to ever receive the award.
