The PSC is organizing the International Science Center and Science Museum Day (ISCSMD) which is a yearly global event illustrating the impact and reach of all the world’s science centers and science museums worldwide, who take the opportunity of this day to celebrate and promote their missions through widely diverse informal science education and engagement activities addressing the critical topics articulated in the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This year event will focus on one more sustainable development goal No: 9, (Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation)

The activities will focus on innovation in engineering and industry. Several workshop will be presented  that focus on basic principles of industrial, structural, and mechanical engineering. Physical models are built from a similar set of materials that can be easily found around us, in addition to technical part there is also soft skills part such as team working and creativity.

The workshops are presented at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina premises followed by a tour in some Egyptians governorates and held in the Embassies of Knowledge of Bibliotheca Alexandrina premises.
