The Maritime Science Center is a unique place that combines modern science with museum displays. The hull-like building will provide scientific entertainment for each age group. Maritime, shipping, fisheries, shipbuilding are natural choices, driven by Western Pomerania's history and priorities, and they play an important role in shaping the region's identity.

It will be a place for meetings and dialog where contacts and links are established between people, communities and institutions in the region. Maritime Science Center will show that science and art are co-creating culture and civilization.

There are plenty of places in the MSC where children - both younger and older - can develop their creative potential. But not just that, apart from development, it is interesting and advised time spent.

Under the guidance of their carers, youth and children shall experiment independently developing their knowledge. Our workshops shall be a perfect place releasing creativity while teaching patience, persistence and accuracy.

In the area of 3000 m2, we will be able to experiment with around 200 exhibits in the following sections:

"Full steam ahead!" – Ships, vessels, boats, yachts, bathyscaphes. A great sea adventure that shows the process of the constructing and steering all the sea vessels.

„Splash!” – The greatest water playground Szczecin has never seen. Dam up, from waves and whirlpools and steer models of various ships. Splash for the whole family.

„Sea man and landlubbers” – A section dedicated to the life on the sea and showing the passion of sea dogs. There shall be beliefes and legends, sailor’s slang, fishermen’s tools, reef knots, as well as the elements of art – pictures, sculptures, literatures and music.

„Which way to Africa?” This is where you can get familiar with methods and tools used to determine location on the sea, set a course and analyze ship’s surrounding. We shall see legendary regions, study expeditions of Krzysztof Baranowski and Aleksander Doba

„Mayday! S.O.S.!” Who shall rescue the sinking ship? While visiting the exhibition you shall experience a sea adventure that is both thrilling and full of dangers. You will experience the sea as an element and see the greatest waves and whirlpools
