The Luanda Science Centre is a scientific dissemination institution linked to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (MESCTI).

Housed in a renovated former soap factory, it is located in a privileged area of the capital, on Luanda's Marginal, Avenida 4 de Fevereiro, and has an area of 10,000 m2, of which 6,000 m2 is for exhibitions. In addition to the exhibitions, the Luanda Science Centre also has a science kitchen, a laboratory, a planetarium, an auditorium, a butterfly garden, video-mapping programming on the front façade of the building, a shop, a cafeteria and a car park.

To become an inspiring and innovative institution of unavoidable reference in the transposition of scientific and technological knowledge into accessible language, contributing to the appreciation of science in Angolan society and establishing itself as a leading institution in Africa and a reference among the world's science centres.

Carrying out scientific dissemination activities with the aim of popularising and raising scientific and technological knowledge, which stimulate scientific curiosity and learning in an interactive and fun way of the population in general, young people and children in particular.
