Plenty of opportunities in the upcoming weeks to meet Sea for Society partners and participate in engaging events.
Ecsite is a partner in a proposal on the new H2020 call INSO-4-2015 Innovative schemes for open innovation and science 2.0 (b) and is looking for up to 5 of its members to join the proposal as Third Parties.
José Mariano Gago was a founder of the Portuguese Ciência Viva network and an active contributor to Ecsite over the years.
Sea Change aims to bring about a fundamental “Sea Change” in the way European citizens view their relationship with the sea, by empowering them – as ‘Ocean Literate’ citizens - to take direct and sustainable action towards healthy seas and ocean, healthy communities and ultimately - a healthy planet. The project started on 1 March.

Ecsite is proud to announce the creation of the Ecsite Awards that recognize creative and impactful initiatives in science engagement and science communication. For the first year, an Ecsite Creativity Award will specifically encourage innovative actions taken by Ecsite members.
The SeeingNano consortium met in Leeds for a development workshop. Differents strands of the project are moving forward. The key target groups of the project have been defined, which are mostly visitors of the science centres and museums, young people, retired and teachers. These target groups are currently being studied and profiled with focus groups and interview running at 5 Ecsite members. The project website is due in a few months so stay tuned and for now check out the brand new SeeingNano logo.
