Beyond the Lab, Sparks’ travelling exhibition continues its pan European tour with openings in four new venues. In its second but last tour, Sparks comes to Ireland, Finland, Italy and Romania where it presents fascinating stories of ‘DIY scientists’ around the world who are busily hacking, experimenting and re-inventing in the field of healthcare. After these four venues, visitors will only have one more chance to see Beyond the Lab, when it heads to Science Centre Experyment in Gdynia, Poland.

Beyond the Lab will be at Science Gallery Dublin until 18 February; in Finland at Heureka, the Finnish Science Center from 18 January to 11 March; in Italy at MUSE from 26 January to 25 March; and in Romania at Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania from 15 January to 23 March. And on 23 January, Sparks presents 'Post-truth vs. Science Engagement' a Reverse Science Café in Brussels. During this citizen-science event, participants will have the chance to debate with experts from a variety of disciplines how to increase trust in evidence-based research and critical thinking in a post-truth context.
