Up to seven PhD studentships are available in 2019 for research on health, environment and well-being at the Wellcome Centre for Cultures and Environments of Health, University of Exeter.
Transdisciplinary and international in its approach, the Centre brings together leading scholars across the medical humanities, social sciences, and health research with the aim of understanding how we can enable health and well-being across the life course. PhD proposals must be aligned with the Centre's aims and visions but we have identified seven key areas: cultural contexts of loneliness; microbes, health and society; intangible culture and relational health; health, relations and relational health; eating and healthy lives; the role of the environment in health outcomes across the life course and public engagement and 'wide data'.
More information on the studentship and applications. Apply before 7 January
The Centre welcomes applications internationally from people with traditional academic backgrounds and/or those with work or lived experience that provides the necessary and relevant expertise in the research area.
